Black and White Two-Piece Ceramic Nesting Sculpture
This two-piece sculpture was thrown on the wheel then carved out. Both pieces were glazed, one with clear and one with black glaze. Both pieces were fired at cone 10 (over 2300 degrees F or 1200 degrees C). The smallest one is about 2X2X2 inches and the bigger one is 4 inches tall and about 4 1/2 inches wide. I can’t help anthropomorphizing these sculptures (I see a mother and child) but you can imagine anything you want. It’s quite intriguing to look at and would make an interesting focal point on a desk or sideboard. you can turn the inside sculpture in different ways and get a different effect.
