Scream (Monster) Egg
This egg sculpture was thrown on the wheel, then the eyes, mouth and nose holes carved and the entire “head” squeezed with both hands to mimic the screaming face of the famous painting by E. Munch. The mouth was then outlined with black. Both pieces (egg and base, sold together) were fired at cone 6 (over 2200 degrees F or 1200 degrees C). The egg is 6 inches tall and about 4 1/2 inches at its widest. It’s feels great to pick this sculpture with both hands and yell “to be or not to be”. Anything else dramatic you need to say will work too. Maybe your office space needs this wacky touch?
