Dragon Egg Sculpture
This egg sculpture was thrown on the wheel, then textured with a netting dipped in three different colored slip (liquid clay), then covered with a clear glaze as well as the tripod base it is resting on. Both pieces were fired at cone 10 (over 2300 degrees F or 1200 degrees C). The egg is 7 1/2 inches tall and about 4 1/2 inches-5 inches at its widest. The egg is resting on its base but is not attached to it and you can separate them. They’re sold together. The egg can also stand upright on its own.
My kids decided it was a dragon egg, therefore it is. Take good care of it in case a dragon hatches eventually, you want to be on its good side.
