Blue Carved Out Bubble Egg Sculpture and Candle Holder
This egg sculpture was thrown on the wheel, then circles were carved out in different sizes and textured. The outline of each egg was painted in different blues. It was then covered with a clear glaze as well as the tripod base it is resting on. Both pieces were fired at cone 6 (over 2200 degrees F or 1200 degrees C). The egg is 5 inches tall and also about 5 inches at its widest. The egg and base are sold together. You can insert a candle inside the egg by the opening at the top, so it is a whimsical candle holder.
